On the wall,
glowing with a myriad of rainbows.
Flash - and in an instant, Change.
I am spellbound,
A pilgrim on a journey
In quest of light, or knowledge, or the like
Or who knows? Or who cares?
I am with you – there.
Swimming the sea of dreams,
drowning in a symphony of song,
gulping each bubble of truth
that flashes before my eyes.
I am there –
Where kings of old once walked the shores
Where blade and blood did meet
to bloom in crimson roses
And where you; Gods, laugh down
at our petty existence.
I have been,
And I have seen,
But only through you
Box, Master of dreams!
I control you, but really
Who is the slave in whose world?
And things that I shall never smell
nor touch
nor feel
Your presence and absence both
switch me back to life.
You glare back at me now:
Grey, lifeless patch.
Call to me - Life is just a button away!
But a patch of light is all you were
and all you should be.
My world beckons,
To live! To live!
I choose you in all your flawed beauty.
Idiot box, command me no more.
