The Stupidest Way to Pull a Muscle

Bearing in mind (if you know me) that i am a klutz, here is possibly the stupidest way that you could pull a thigh muscle.

I have spent the past week (actually more) intensively practising Thriller for Cafe (yes, Thriller as in Michael Jackson's Thriller)
This one lah....

Other than that, have also been practising the gospel choir type scene in Sister Act
something like this.. bear in mind we're singing AND dancing

And other than that, i have (tried) to get to as many IH soccer practices that i can
yes, we do call it soccer in Australia
Well, while we're on the topic of soccer... Kaka stepping on balls *snigger*
Kaka looking hotKaka looking hot (still) Thank you GQ Istanbul! Found at this blog.
p.s: some of my regular reader(s) may find the hot men there interesting...
*Drool* Kaka..
Oh, anyway, back to my story.
So, cafe acts, soccer training, heck, even running after the tram. NO!
How does Jeannie pull her muscle?
Crossing the road when she spots CC in uni. (-_-")
Sorry for the anti-climax.
It's just so stupid. I can't believe it either.

Food for Thought (because we have both)

As part of my ongoing humanitarian crusade, i feel it is my duty to share with the world at large ways to put our world into perspective. And ever so often, i rely on forwards from my father. (hey, credible source okay? authoritative figure!) But anyway, forget that it's a forward, this really made me think. (like, Hhhhmmm.....)

The Earth Status Report 2006
If the population of the Earth was reduced to that of a small town with 100 people, it would look something like this:

57 Asians
21 Europeans
14 Americans (northern and southern)
8 Africans

52 women
48 men

70 coloured-skins
30 caucasians

89 heterosexuals
11 homosexuals

6 people would own 59% of the whole world wealth and all of them will be from the United States of America
80 would have bad living conditions
70 would be uneducated
50 underfed
1 would die
2 would be born
1 would have a computer
1 (only one) will have higher education

Put it in real terms...

This morning, if you woke up healthy, then you are happier than the 1 million people that will not survive next week.

If you never suffered a war, the loneliness of the jail cell, the agony of torture, or hunger, you are happier than 500 million people in the world.

If you can enter into a church / mosque without fear of jail or death, you are happier than 3 million people in the world.

If there is a food in your fridge, you have shoes and clothes, you have a bed and a roof, you are richer than 75% of the people in the world.

If you have a bank account, money in your wallet and some coins in the money-box, you belong to the 8% of the people in the world who are well-to-do.

If you read this you don't belong to the 200 million people that cannot read.

Are you guilt-tripping yet? I felt kinda bad. But if you take something from this, i hope that it is:
1) that we are very very lucky
2) that there are many others who are not so lucky
3) that we are able to help them
4) that we should.

Like Michael Jackson said:
"No message could've been any clearer - if you want to make the world a better place, take a look at yourself and make that change."

Belated Ball Post

Wah! Can't believe i nearly forgot to post ball pictures! It was Autumn theme and very very fun. Why? Because we were the noisy, drunk seniors (as is tradition) and even though we were massively outnumbered, we could still YAAAAAAAAAAAAM SIIIIIING and shout We Can't Hear You!!!! but that was also Rahul and that was also 'cos I had enough drinks to make any ball happy. =)Well, enough about that... pictures!

Peter Cole dancing with Pat!) Will post scandalous after party pix another time. It's time-consuming okay? Much O-week dancing, dodgy raffle-drawing and picture-taking later, i'm happy to say i enjoyed my final IH ball (wah, sounds so morbid). And i laugh at those who didn't make it *glare at Eddie*

Too Funny to Pass Up...

Just read a story on the news - This guy got his tongue bitten off when he and his girlfriend became too passionate in a steamy kissing session.
OUCH.
The surgeons who reattached the tongue said that he should sip on ice drinks and 'avoid wet kisses'.
Okay, so maybe not that funny. And maybe not the most important news of the day. But the moral of the story is, we can never be too careful when hormones are involved. =)
p.s: especially if hormones and braces are involved...
i have to say, for a picture of people kissing - this one actually sort of turns me off.

The Week So Far...

What's been up? It feels like a busy, busy week. This copywriting course that i've started - i'm the only Asian, only student, and only one who thinks that there's too much business stuff involved. *snort* maybe not the right course. But in any case, it will be a good eye-opener and help me learn how to talk like an adult. :S
Yes, many people ask what a copywriter does. We write the words for newsletters, brochures, leaflets, advertisements and things like that. Why things like that? 'Cos there's A LOT of things like that! it's a pretty cool job - if you're good at it. We shall see....
Anyway, I had class on Tuesday night, which, annoyingly, was Scholar's Dinner. Basket people wouldn't let me have a late meal even though it sounded uber yummy, prawn cocktail, rib eye fillet and all *grumble* but i don't mind anymore 'cos i got a Scholarship! Lady Dean Award! WooHooO!!! it means 1) money off my bill 2) my name will be up in the JCR for people (like me) to laugh at forever and ever!
WAH! Part of history. =) I suppose i would laugh at jeannie foo if i saw it on the board. hahaha.
Anyway, i've gloated already. Clever clever me!
See, clever like this freaky looking owl. If you stare at the eyes for a while, it spooks you. Or maybe just me, cos those eyes are like triple the size of mine.

Anyhow, since i missed out getting smashed at Scholar's Dinner (what a crime) i shall try and make it up tomorrow - at the Ball! Pat and i have this brilliant plan that involves Pre-Pre drinks, Pre-drinks, Drinks, AfterParty Drinks and then.. probably passing out. Yay! Good fun promised for all!

Also, tonight was an awesome catch-up night for me and the Stella girls (ji mui time) Had really yummy roast lamb and a nostalgic/love life update chat. Even called another girlfriend in Malaysia.. I miss secondary school! The people were hotter, the small issues seemed bigger and we were so much more naive... Those were the days eh? I guess everything you look back on seems better. But i'm not complaining - uni days are the days of our lives! And i'm gonna head to bed to prepare for the next one. =)

Here's to not PK-ing in ball outfit. *don't jinx myself!*

p.s: 50% essay in 4 days - now there's a record. haha. let's not speculate about the mark though.

Picture-heavy post...

Excuse the many pictures, i was away for 3 days... Anyway, this is where we stayed. Quite a nice place at Mornington. So amazing that that woman can run this whole place. Amazing that she OWNS such a huge place too!And this is what the bunk rooms look like. All cozy? It could've been worse. At least it was pretty clean!

Here's CK- Drinking from Melbourne's Victory Cup!
Here's why CK will regret he did
Even the girls get in on it...

This guy looks like Kee Hong! Hahaha... I laugh at him all the conference... and his dancing is damn awesome. Kee.. you need to dance more!

Party Two - Black and White Night

What Did Daniel Do....?

Right, Last day and one more picture just to round it off

AIESEC State Con. What can i say? Kinda like O week but we're meant to learn stuff from it. Plus i wasn't running the show. But i met some nice people and had fun!
Then i came back and realised i had to write a 50% essay in a weekend!
It builds character, i say.
