Happy New Year!!

My computer clock reads 1/01/2006. Wow. I didn't really feel that it was a big deal, just like any other day of the week. But, haha. now i realise that yesterday it was the end of the year, and suddenly it's the first day of a new year! It's kind of like someone pressed a reset button. *gasp*
So, what did i end up doing? DID go to the curve with my high school friends, and it wasn't too bad! Although initially i was wishing i DIDN'T cos there didn't seem to be anything on, we made the excellent decision of going to the pub. There was football on inside! Turns out you don't pay so much attention to the footie when there's a cute and rather good pub singer and alcohol! Plus a big crowd of friends! Haha.. i guess noone would really be convinced you're sober when you laugh really loud and start singing along loudly to the songs. haha.. drunken pub songs all around! I loved the atmosphere though, and there's another resolution, more pubbing!
i STILL hate those buggers with the spray cans. I have a feeling those aren't very good for your skin, or eyes, or clothes, or noses, heck for your health in general. I guess it's only once a year. So it was good to catch up with friends, seeing people i really tend to only see once a year. It was good to stare at the fireworks in a large collective OoOhh-ing and AaaAahHH-ing at the large bursts of colour. (and wishing i was wrapped in someone's arms.. *sigh* how romantic) It's good that i finally got the screen protector for my baby! *phew* she doesn't look that snazzy, but at least she's safer. and it's good to have started the year with smiles and laughter. I can only hope it carries on throughout the year.
